5 easy steps to start your weight loss challenge

It's almost the end of January, and some of you are still wondering where to begin. I have 5 simple steps on how to reboot and take charge of your weight loss goal! Lets get to it shall we?


Water is a natural cleanser, detoxifier, moisturizer, and more. Water helps move your bowels, and get things going. On average, you must consume about 8 glasses of water a day, minimum. I know it's hard to drink water, especially for someone who use to despise only drinking water. But now, I can't do without it!

***My tip: carry a gallon of water a day everywhere you go and a sharpie pen. 8 cups of water is about half of a gallon. Make a line with your sharpie pen. Try to aim to drink under the line. Once you start,
you'll notice your body will want more and more. I bet in two weeks, you'll be drinking a gallon a day!

                                                       2. NO WHITE STARCHY CARBS

Stay away from any type of white carb. White bread, white pasta, white rice, donuts, chips, anything that just looks bad. I'm sure you guys have an idea of whats good and bad. These foods do not fill you up and provide little to none nutritional value. It's wasted calories that only spike your insulin and make you even more hungry.

This is probably going to be one of the hardest ones. I say this because your body is so use to it, some of you will go through withdrawals. This is why, instead of completely eliminating it, just replace it with complex carbs (brown rice, sweet potatoe)

                                                                   3. NO ALCOHOL

Alcohol is horrible when you want to start to lose weight. This is one of the easiest if not THE easiest thing to eliminate and see rapid changes. Alcohol packs on weight like no other. Try not to drink for maybe 2 months and see how your body slims down.

                                                                          4. SLEEP!

The average person burns 90 calories an hour sleeping, so that means 720 calories burned if you sleep for 8 hours! Not much else to say about this one!

                                                                5. NO SUGAR.

This one is the last one because it's really the one that is the ninja. It hides in food in different ingredients. I wrote a post about the affects sugar has had on our population. It's really horrible. If you want to lose weight, skip adding sugar in your coffee, skip the flavored yogurts, skip fruit juices, skip anything that has more than 9 grams of sugar.
