Strawberry Apple Grilled Chicken Salad!

What a mouthful! Say it 3 times before you read this post. Its funny try it HA.

So this past weekend I went over to see my friend Cynthia and her husband Benito. I literally haven't seen them in months! I was traveling most of the summer and they were busy adjusting to newly married life. One thing I enjoy is when we get back together its as if nothing has changed!

We watched Sons of Anarchy and she made a beautiful salad for us. It was the best salad I've ever had. The fruits really added some sexy sweetness to the meal. I sat down with her after to discuss why she chose to make this dish amongst other things.

Me: Why did you add strawberries and apples to the salad?
Cynthia: Im not really a fan of the traditional salad.I love fruit! Strawberries and apples are my favorite fruit..so I thought I'd experiment a little bit to add flavor to my traditional salad

Me: Well it was bomb! Best salad I've had in awhile...and I'm not frontin either [laughs]. Can you tell us how you prepped the chicken?

Cynthia: After cleaning the chicken, I place the chicken into a container. I poke holes in the chicken and covered it with the lemon pepper sauce (lemon, garlic ,pepper and thyme and vinegar). Then covered the chicken and placed it in the fridge for 20 minutes

Me: How long did it take in total to prep and cook?

Cynthia: Prep time was probably 20 minutes and cook time 10 minutes

Me: What other toppings can my readers add to their salad?

Cynthia: Almonds and dried cranberries are good touch. Also maybe feta cheese!

Me: What dressing did you top the salad with? And what is your favorite salad dressing??

Cynthia: For the salad I used honey balsamic dressing from Kens food. My favorite dressing is creamy Italian [smiles] because the flavor is good on other items aside from salad

This salad is easy to make, very filling, decorative, and delicious! Give it a try and let me know what you think!
